Photocatalytic degradation of the 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid herbicide using supported iridium materials

چکیده

In this work, the effect of addition iridium on TiO2 and Nb2O5 supports obtained by wet impregnation method was evaluated in photocatalytic degradation 2,4-dichlorophenoxiacetic acid under UV irradiation. The synthetized materials were analyzed different techniques order to determinate their physicochemical properties. general, it observed that modifies surface area, band gap energy enhances crystallinity materials. Besides, an increase photoactivity herbicide evidenced using modified. However, Ir/TiO2 photocatalyst possess best behavior toward possible mineralization herbicide. improved performance could be argued role particles as electron collectors favoring effective separation charge carriers and, consequence, increasing molecule.
